Happy Easter everyone. I hope you have all had a lovely day with family and friends. I gave up crisps for lent and I honestly don’t think I will be bringing them back into my daily diet. I obviously will have them now and then but I don’t crave them as much as I did before I gave them up.
Southwold was delightfully busy on Saturday, so busy that I actually found it hard making my way down to the coffee shop on the pier. The coffee shop was too busy so I headed towards the beach for a little walk and then went on into the town back home for coffee. I am trying to drink less coffee out of the house when I am at my parents. We have a fantastic Nespresso machine which I rate 100% and I can make myself the perfect coffee at home and spend the money I would have spent in town on a magazine to enjoy with my coffee.
I was very naughty and had an ice cream whilst walking by the sea. This was only naughty because I really shouldn’t be eating dairy and I am trying very hard to cut it out of my diet. I have removed any cheese that affects my skin and also replaced milk with this. The thing is I don’t know if it’s lactose or just all dairy I can’t have but my skin is doing really well with the lactofree milk so it seems it could be lactose which causes my skin to freak out.
This is my new dress from Freemans, I realise the photo is a little grainy but I snapped this on my iphone in low light but it will do for now. I plan on doing a few outfit posts with this dress because I already know it’s going to be my go to dress this summer. I really like lace dresses and I also want to make sure I wear more white this summer. I am always a little scared of white clothes even though I think they always look so pretty on others and I know it really complements my skin tone during summer. Why do I usually shy away from white? Well I just feel like I will spill something or drop food down it. Hopefully I can tame my butterfingers this summer.
The dress has an exposed zip at the back which I really like because it breaks up all the white and make it looks a little different from my similar Topshop dresses. I also really like the little sleeves on this dress, I am not a fan of bare arms on me so having a little sleeve makes me feel more confident and I can always add a three quarter length cardigan with it. I am a big fan of the skater style dress and this one from Freemas is a lovely fit and shape and reminds me of my pink and blue ones from Topshop.
I wore the dress on Saturday with yellow Converse and a bright pink cardigan. It’s fun to mix up the innocent white of the dress with bright colours. I want to style this dress with even brighter colours this week and I got some H&M orange tights on Friday to wear especially with it. I also have an orange Beret which I will be wearing and am actually very tempted to get some more fun coloured berets as they are so cheap here. I can’t wait to take some photos and share them with you.
What have you been up to over the Easter weekend?
xx
