I haven’t worn jeans for a good few years. It’s not because I don’t like them, simply that I have so many dresses to wear that I never find time for jeans. On Friday 5th October 2012 it is Jeans for Genes Day, they raise money for Genetic Disorders UK and aim to change the world for children with genetic disorders. All you need to do to get involved is to get your school or colleagues to wear their jeans for the day and make a donation. I was trying to think how I could show my support and other than wearing a vintage Levis jacket, I thought that Mavala’s limited edition Denim Blue kit would be a good idea. You can get the kit exclusively at BeautyBay and it includes Super Base, Denim Blue and Top Coat Fixator.
I have been using Mavala’s base coat for quite some time now and really like it, the top coat is new to me but seems to do a good job. I don’t really know much about top coat’s though, how long do yours usually keep your nail varnish looking fab for?
Denim Blue is a lovely shade and I have already started layering it with glitter polishes. I think that will be a look I stick with through aw12.
