I know, I know, I own a lot of handbags and don’t need any more. However, most of my handbags are for autumn and winter, they’re smart and I’m keen to get something fun to add to my collection. It’s an investment, right? Anyway, that’s quite enough justification, let’s get onto the handbags. Tonight I’m sharing four beautiful handbags that I’ve had my eye on and I hope some of you will like them too.
Let’s kick things off with the very cute Kate Spade snail shaped bag. Kate Spade do all kinds of wonderful handbags. I own a few of their more structured bags which I’ve found to be very good quality. I also own their ‘if life gives you lemons make limoncello’ purse which always makes people smile. I’ve never had any of their more unique designs though. This sweet wicker snail may not be the most practical handbag but it’s sure to be a talking point and will jazz up a plain outfit. You can even remove the chain and use it as a clutch bag. I think this bag would work perfectly alongside a plain white dress.
Next up is this bright yellow number from one of my favourite shops, it’s the Whistles Rivington chain clutch. The handbags in Whistles are beautifully soft, they’re 100% leather. I love the brightness of this bag and again, it would work well with a plain white dress during summer. As with the Kate Spade snail, you can remove the chain and use the bag as a clutch.
Now we’re onto a handbag which I’m sure you’ve seen knocking around the blogging world for a while. It’s the New Look ice cream clutch. I really regret not picking up the cute gingerbread man clutch they had back at Christmas so I’m hoping to pick this one up over the weekend. I think it will be ideal for my summer trips to Southwold and will be another bag which pulls together a very simple outfit.
Finally we have a good old Michael Kors cross-body bag. This is a classic shape and a fantastic size. I actually shared a post in which I show you all the stuff I fit into my red version of this handbag. I’ve really enjoyed using my bag and I wouldn’t hesitate to invest in a second one of these, especially in this pastel blue shade. You can also find the shades watermelon and sun.
Although I’m keen to invest in a couple of these handbags I think I’ll be keeping my budget quite low, for now. Any extra money I have at the moment goes into Indiecana and Llama Social.
Which bag would you pick for summer?
