I had a wonderful and relaxed Christmas day in Cambridge. We all helped to make the Christmas dinner which made things run very smoothly. I was on cranberry sauce duty and Poppy made the best stuffing I’ve ever tasted. We normally go out for a long walk on Christmas day but as it was cold and rainy we decided to watch Jingle All The Way (a personal favourite) and played a few rounds of Moustache Smash and Sushi Go. We also managed to get some baking done in the afternoon. The pistachio and rose madeleines went down very well. The basic recipe came from Bread Cake Doughnut Pudding by Justin Gellatly – which I was kindly sent by The Beautiful Book Company.
I didn’t take as many photos as usual but I did get a lot of video footage. Making videos is still very new to me but I’m enjoying learning and developing my skills. I took part in Vlogmas this year and loved it, I’ll continue to share daily videos ’til the end of the month. I’m keen to learn more about video and video editing.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely and relaxing Christmas break.
