It’s windy and raining outside today and although I’m lucky enough to be sitting inside I’m still very chilly. I thought that with all this cold weather we’ve been having it would be the perfect time to share my winter knitwear wishlist.

The other week an email landed in my inbox to tell me all about the pretty knitwear on offer in House of Fraser at the moment. I used to work in one of their department stores so I’m well aware of the fantastic range of brands they stock. I immediately spotted the Tommy Hilfiger Fenmore Cardigan and loved the shape for layering. I’ve always found Tommy Hilfger clothes do be particularly good quality and this long cardigan would go well with my winter dresses and skirts.

It’s been a while since I shared a fashion based wishlist and that’s because I’ve spent a lot of time going through every I own and taking a lot to the charity shop. I don’t want to replace everything but I do want to invest in a few new quality pieces which I know will last. I even got rid of some hats which had very much had their day. I wear hats most days and would love to add one more hat back into my collection. I’m still a big fan of chunky hats with oversized bobbles on. The two I’ve picked out are form Boden and Eugenia Kim both would work well with my daily outfits. I’m leaning more towards grey at the moment, which do you like best?

I think having a few versatile and classic knitwear items to hand is important. You can throw them on top of jeans, dresses and under coats to keep you extra warm. December wasn’t very cold but we’ve really felt winter since the new year. The poncho/cardi from Three Dots looks very cosy and would be ideal to throw on top of a casual outfit or use in the house while still looking smart.

As you can probably tell, I’m enjoying soft greys and pastel shades this winter. I’m keen to move away from wearing too much black in 2016. What colours have you been wearing a lot of this winter?

Thanks to House of Fraser for sponsoring this post.
