Joseph Joseph Nest Mix review

Last week House of Fraser invited me to pick a little treat from their baking section. I had a browse and although the decision was hard I finally settled on the Joseph Joseph Nest Mix*. House Of Fraser have a very good selection of baking products. You can also find brands such as Le Creuset and Nordic Ware amongst many others.

The Nest Mix from Joseph Joseph is something I’ve had my eye on for a while. Joseph Joseph always create innovative designs and this one is no different. The nest mix is ideal for anyone who needs to save space in the cupboard. Each bowl fits nicely into each other so it can be stored away with ease. The set contains 3 mixing bowls with non-slip bases and pouring spouts. Each bowl also has an integrated stainless-steel egg cracker on the side. Within the nest is also an egg yolk separator which fits securely onto the side of each bowl.

So far I’ve made cupcakes, pancakes and bean burgers with my Nest Mix. It’s so nice to have a variety of bowl sizes so that I don’t have to continuously wash up when I’m making icing for my fairy cakes. Each bowl has a spout which is very handy, especially when I’m making pancakes. The mixture can be poured straight out of the mixing bowl and into the pan with no mess. I think this means I need to start making pancakes more often.

Making a batch of cupcakes was the real test for these bowls. The non-slip bottom made it all so much easier. I even used my electric mixer and the bowl was sturdy. The handle on the side means you can hold your bowl in place with out getting your fingers messy or having any potential collision with the mixer. The bowls are light enough to lift and move around with ease.

I’ve found the Nest Mix very easy to clean which is exactly what you want after an hour of cooking or baking.

The egg cracker, which can be found on each bowl is such a clever idea. It makes cracking eggs quick and easy and I’ve had no problem with shell falling into my baking. I’m yet to use the egg separator but as it states, it does fit securly onto each bowl. I’ll have to make some meringues to test this out.

I’m a big fan of Joseph Joseph so I can confirm that the quality is excellent across all of their products. I’ve had a few chopping boards, a dish-rack, utensils, a garlic crusher and many other bits from the brand. Phil treated me to the pastry rolling pin for Christmas, I can’t wait to share it with you in another post.

Have you tried anything from the Joseph Joseph range?
