I’ve got a bad habit of leaving it months and months between getting my hair cut. I think the last time between cuts was about 8 months. My hair grows quickly and looks much better when it’s in a healthy condition. It’s something I’m working on improving throughout 2016, self-care is just as important as working hard.
I feel so much better when I’ve had my hair done. It makes me feel happy, confident and pulled together.
One of the reasons that I always leave it so long between cuts is that my hairdresser, Ella (who owns Maluku Hair Company) is based in Cambridge and I currently spend a lot of time in Sheffield. I often try out different places in Sheffield when I need a blow dry but stick to going back to Cambridge for my cuts.
Maluku Hair Company is situated on Castle Street in Cambridge. It’s just a 10 minute walk from the city centre (the side where Byron is). When I first moved to Cambridge I visited a few different salons before finally stumbling upon Maluku. I found Ella approachable and very friendly. I find it easy to talk through my hair ideas with her, show her a few photos and then she creates something that always suits me. I totally trust Ella with my with my hair and always leave feeling happy and confident with my new style. I also like that the salon is stylish and chic yet very relaxing.
My mum, sister and grandma have also all be going to Ella for the last couple of years. We all have very different hair and have always been delighted with the results.
I last had my hair cut in the middle of February, I wanted a fresh look for my trip to Budapest. My next visit to Cambridge is booked for early April and I fully intend on getting an appointment booked.
