I’ve just been reading about the exciting Shutter Hub OPEN exhibitions and events coming up throughout July in the city of Cambridge. If you haven’t heard of Shutter Hub before, they’re a collective and online resource for photographers. It was actually co-founded by one of my friends, Karen. They aim to bring together photographers from all over the UK and help them to grow and network.
If you’re a fan of photography and happen to be in the city over summer then you must go along to a couple of events. There will be photography exhibitions, portfolio reviews, meet-ups and lots of talks and workshops across the city. I’m particularly looking forward to Sara Tasker’s workshop about iPhoneography, the portfolio reviews and Justin Carey’s talk on night photography.
I always find that going along to talks and workshops fills me with lots of motivation for my own work. I enjoy hearing about the projects other people are working on and having the chance to network with like-minded people.
I thought I’d include a full list of the events within this post but if you want more info then pop over to the site.
Will you be going along to any of the events? Let me know so we can grab a drink together at some point.
