It’s such a shame to see my talented and hardworking friends doubting themselves on a daily basis. They simply don’t think they’re good enough or capable of reaching their goals. Yes, they’re ambitious but they carry around this big old heavy weight of self-doubt. Sadly, this keeps them from moving forward, growing and ultimately reaching their goals.
I know we can all fall into this way of thinking from time to time but it’s not good. It’s important to find ways to push through the feelings. It’s important to be self-aware and have self confidence. Because, if you don’t believe in yourself then no one else will.
How to tackle self-doubt:
– Arrange a mastermind session: Masterminds doesn’t just have to be for business folk. Arrange a mastermind to talk about your life or your blog. This will give you the chance to share something you’re struggling with and gain feedback from people with different perspectives.
– Surround yourself with positive people: Eliminate the negative people from your life. If someone brings you down then see less of them. Focus on surrounding yourself with friends and family who lift you up and support what you do.
– Keep learning: If you’re not happy with your skill-set then do something about it. Take a course, use Google and build upon the skills you have. Improving your knowledge and mixing with like-minded people might give you the confidence you need to believe in yourself.
If your friend is struggling with self-doubt then highlight their strengths and goals and let them know they have your support.
