Last Saturday Phil and I started our weekend off with a coffee at HowSt. We’d been planning to go to Tamper (FYI – excellent coffee and food) but as we’d had a late start to the day it was already very busy in there. We walked to the end of the road and made our way into HowSt. We’ve had breakfast and lunch at HowSt a couple of times before and it’s always been really good. The staff are also lovely here and I think good service makes a big difference on where you decide to go for brunch/lunch.
HowSt was also busy but we found a lot more seating upstairs. It had a very relaxed atmosphere which I enjoyed, especially as we wanted to spend a couple of hours chatting and making plans for the year ahead.
On the last few occasions that we’ve visited HowSt they only had soya milk available but this time they had almond. If you read here often or follow me on Twitter you’ll know that I’m always on the hunt for a good flat white with almond milk. HowSt was already on my list of awesome places to grab a coffee in the centre of Sheffield but it’s even better now that they offer almond milk.
As I mentioned before, the service is always excellent at HowSt and their food is really good and well priced. I highly recommend their veggie burger. If you’re looking for a new brunch spot or fancy trying their lunch menu (which you can see here) then make sure you stop by. The shop is located just 5 minutes away from the train station.
