If you’ve read any of my Behind The Biz interviews you’ll know that I’m a big supporter of new businesses. I love to try out new apps and websites, especially if it’s something that’s going to make my daily life a little simpler. Bidvine dropped me a message last week to see if I’d like to use their site to find local service providers. They came along at the perfect time as I’m currently looking for a cleaner and personal training. I knew this was going to be a rather useful site.
My first job was to see if they covered Sheffield and Cambridge. Luckily, Bidvine are covering the whole of the UK and I didn’t have any problems finding over 600 professionals in Sheffield and just under 700 in Cambridge. A wide variety of services were available in both of the cities I live in and if you’re curious as to what’s on offer just check out this awesome list for Sheffield. There’s everything from tutoring, yoga, repair services and even, Pokemon Go walking.
Both the app and the website are well designed, clean and delightfully easy to use. You’re given a few prompts to pick from including; health, home improvement, events and learning. These categories are then broken down into services to pick from. Alternatively you can search directly from the search bar and you’ll be presented with a choice of fitting services. I tried both ways and managed to easily find what I was looking for.
If you’re going to a site like Bidvine then it’s more than likely that you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for, you just need someone to point you in the right direction of local professional who match what you’re looking for and has availability.
To find local professionals is really simply:
Select the service you’re looking for and type in your postcode.
Answer a few quick multiple choice questions to ensure the site can match you with the right professionals in your area.
Your request/project is then seen by local professionals who will reply with a bid for the job.
It’s then down to you to contact the people you want to work with. It really is that simple.
Although you could go to Google and do some research on local professionals I think Bidvine makes the whole process a lot simpler and of course, saves time. You’re also more likely to find someone who fits exactly what you’re looking for instead of having to contact multiple people. Once someone has sent through a bit you could then do a little extra research on that person or company via Google before getting in contact with them. Anything that saves times is always good in my books.
I hope you’ve enjoyed finding out a little more about Bidvine. Let me know if you try out the site and I’ll be sure to report back and let you know more about any of the services I use.
Thanks to Bidvine for collaborating with me on this post.
