I wanted to hop on here and tell you about some delicious food I had the other day. I tweeted about it but sometimes that’s not enough. This isn’t one of my usual in-depth food reviews (there’s one of those coming tomorrow) but this is simply a few phone snaps and a place for you to go and grab some lunch in Cambridge.
The other week my mum, sister and I went to The Cambridge Brew House for lunch. My sister always takes us there, it’s one of her favourite spots in the city centre of Cambridge. They do lunch, dinner, snacks and have a good selection of cask (some from their own brewery) and craft beers. I’m looking forward to taking Phil when we’re back in the city. It has a relaxed vibe with mismatched furniture and big open windows.
I’ve been a few times now and can confirm that the veggie burger and fish finger sandwich are delicious, both very good choices. On this occasion we discovered their sharing platters. They do 3 boards with meaty options but we went for The Dutchess, which is the veggie option and let me tell you, it was fantastic.

There were these big sweet potato falafel balls in the middle of the platter which were surrounded by olives, flat bread, hummus, baba ganoush, artichokes and more. I’d say there’s enough for 3 people, especially as we got a side of their hand-cut chips too. However, if you’re really hungry then 2 of you could easily tackle this. It was really good and I’m keen to have this again.
When I got back again I’ll take some photos of the bar and the seating area and add them into this post.
Let me know if you visit the The Cambridge Brew House.
