The latest collection to hit Ikea is Stockholm 2017. The first Stockholm collection was launched back in 1984. The aim of each collection is to offer Scandinavian modernity of the highest quality in form, function and materials at an affordable price. The latest collection offers sofas, armchairs, cabinets, glassware and more. Inspiration has been taken from Swedish nature and light.
There are a total of 47 pieces in the latest collection. Many are real classics and if you scroll down a little you’ll seem some of my favourites. This spring and summer I’m focused on creating a tidy, clean and comfortable space. I want less clutter around, more storage and to generally have a calm atmosphere in my home. The latest Stockholm collection is both practical and pretty and created with ‘slow living’ in mind.
”The STOCKHOLM 2017 collection is about wellbeing, quality, and convenience.”

To me, a lot of the collection is timeless. I can see it fitting into a flat, a countryside home or if you’re extra lucky, a seaside house. A few of you will know that I have a thing for costal living. It’s no secret that I miss living by the sea. So the idea of bringing rattan furniture and various shades of blue into my home is very pleasing. Many of the designs are simple and clean but they can easily be jazzed up with cushions and rugs. I’m looking forward to getting into my local Ikea latest this month and having a closer look at the collection.
