London has plenty to offer when it comes to food markets. Some of my favourites are Borough Market, Brick Lane and of course, Kerb Camden. I visited Kerb for the first time just before Christmas (read about my 24 hours in London). It was a cold day but luckily we were wrapped up warm and and had a lot of fun. Now the warmer months are approaching I’m hoping to go back to Kerb and I think you should go too.
The market is easy to find, it’s just a 5 minute walk from Camden tube station. It’s a pretty big market with over 30 independent traders. At Kerb we spotted fresh doughnuts, Korean burritos filled with aubergine or pork, juicy burgers, mac & cheese, cocktails, cake and much much more. There’s something for everyone.
As with every food market you must first stroll around and have a nosey at everything that’s on offer. Don’t forget to try the samples too.
I find it hard to make a decision when there’s so many good options on offer. So as always, we picked out 2 things to share. We had a veggie filled naan from Roti House and a fantastic crispy chicken tikka burger from Baba G’s. Both were delicious. We didn’t have time to pick out a dessert but we’ll be sure to do that next time. If you have a sweet tooth keep an eye out for Kooky Bakes, their cupcakes looked fantastic.
Kerb is the perfect spot to meet up with friends, especially if you all have different food preferences. I can imagine hanging out at Kerb on a sunny day, sipping Pomegranate + Rose soda from Square Root and doing a couple of laps of the market while I decide what to eat. I honestly can’t wait to go back.
What are you waiting for? Grab a few friends and go and eat your way around Kerb Camden.
